Andrew N. Case, Ph.D.

I am a scholar of history and environmental studies who explores the history of environmentalism, consumer culture, and changing ideas about ecology, science, health, and the environment in the twentieth century.

My book –– The Organic Profit: Rodale and the Making of Marketplace Environmentalism (Washington, 2018) is an environmental and cultural history of the company that helped make organic a household word.

I have held teaching appointments at UW-Madison’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, Michigan State’s Lyman Briggs College, and Washington College in Chestertown, MD.

In 2018, I became a Grant Proposal Coordinator in the Research and Partnerships Office of Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
